Author Guidelines
The Journal of Financial Intermediation, Sustainable Banking and Marketing welcomes original, well‑structured manuscripts that advance understanding of financial intermediation, sustainable banking, and financial‑services marketing. All submissions must be written in clear English and observe high academic standards. Manuscripts that do not follow the requirements below may be returned for technical revision before peer review.
Article Types
Original Research Articles: Full‑length papers presenting new empirical or theoretical findings.
Review Articles: Comprehensive syntheses of existing scholarship, either narrative or systematic.
Case Studies: Applied analyses of institutions, policies, customer strategies, or sustainability initiatives.
Short Communications: Concise reports of timely data or preliminary results.
Policy Briefs and Commentary: Structured discussions of policy developments or regulatory issues.
Letters to the Editor: Constructive commentary on prior journal content or emerging topics.
Manuscript Preparation
General Formatting
Use a standard font (Times New Roman, 12‑point), double spacing, and 2.5 cm margins. Number pages consecutively.
Title Page
Provide the manuscript title; full author names and affiliations; corresponding‑author contact details; funding acknowledgements; and any conflict‑of‑interest statements.
Abstract
Include a structured abstract of 250–300 words summarising objectives, methods, key results, and implications.
Keywords
List 4–6 descriptive keywords to aid indexing and search.
Main Text Structure
A typical research article includes Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Authors of conceptual or policy papers may adjust section titles provided the narrative remains coherent.
Tables and Figures
Number and cite all tables and figures in order of appearance. Embed them in the manuscript and upload separate high‑resolution files (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF). Supply descriptive titles (tables) or captions (figures).
References
All references cited in the text must be listed at the end of the manuscript. The journal accepts citations in APA style. Authors must ensure accuracy and consistency in referencing.
Ethical Considerations
Plagiarism is prohibited and all submissions are screened.
Human‑subject research must include ethics‑committee approval and informed consent.
Proprietary data usage requires documented permission.
Conflicts of interest must be disclosed on the title page.
Submission Procedure
Submit manuscripts through the journal’s online system. Upload the main document, tables and figures (if separate), any supplementary materials, and a brief cover letter outlining the manuscript’s contribution.
Peer Review Process
All papers undergo double‑blind peer review by at least two experts. Reviewers assess originality, methodological soundness, clarity, and relevance. Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit within the timeline set by the editorial office.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
An Article Processing Charge will be levied upon acceptance of the manuscript. The corresponding author will receive full details at the time of the final decision.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right to publish the article under an open‑access licence. Archiving of the published version in institutional or public repositories is permitted with proper citation.
