Author Guidelines
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit manuscripts to the Journal of Complementary Research and Alternative Medicine. Below are the guidelines to help authors submit high-quality manuscripts for review and publication.
1. Manuscript Types
We accept the following manuscript types:
- Original Research Articles: Detailed research studies focusing on novel findings and innovative approaches in complementary and alternative medicine.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews that summarize current knowledge on specific CAM therapies or practices.
- Short Communications: Brief reports on novel research or emerging trends in complementary and alternative medicine.
- Case Reports: Detailed case studies that illustrate the use and impact of alternative therapies in the treatment of specific health conditions.
- Editorials and Opinion Pieces: Thought-provoking articles that offer insights into issues related to the practice and scientific validation of complementary and alternative medicine.
2. Manuscript Preparation
- Language: Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscript professionally edited before submission.
- Formatting: Manuscripts should be submitted in Word format (doc or docx), double-spaced, with 1-inch margins and 12-point Times New Roman font. Please include page numbers.
- Title: The title should clearly reflect the content of the manuscript and be concise, not exceeding 15 words.
- Abstract: An abstract of 150-250 words is required, summarizing the key aims, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.
- Keywords: Provide 4-6 relevant keywords that describe the main topics of the manuscript.
3. Main Sections of the Manuscript
- Introduction: Provide background information, the research question, and the objective of the study.
- Materials and Methods: Describe the methods, tools, and techniques used in the study.
- Results: Present the findings, including tables, figures, and graphs where applicable.
- Discussion: Interpret the results in the context of existing literature, explaining their implications for CAM.
- Conclusion: Summarize the findings and their potential impact on clinical practice.
4. References
- All references should be formatted according to the APA citation style. In-text citations should follow the format (Author, Year). For the reference list:
- Books: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the book. Publisher.
- Articles: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Page numbers. https://doi.org/xx.xxx
5. Figures and Tables
- Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively and referenced in the manuscript text. Submit high-quality images and graphs as separate image files (e.g., .jpg, .png, .tiff).
6. Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission system. A cover letter must accompany the manuscript, confirming that the work is original and has not been submitted elsewhere.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest, including financial, personal, or professional conflicts.
7. Peer Review Process
- All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest quality of research and adherence to scientific integrity.
8. Article Processing Charges
- Accepted articles will incur an Article Processing Charge, further details of which will be provided during the submission process.
9. Ethical Considerations
- All studies involving human or animal subjects must be approved by the relevant ethical review board, and this approval must be documented in the manuscript.
10. Copyright and Licensing
- Authors retain copyright of their work but grant the journal a license to publish under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license.
