Author Guidelines
Authors submitting their work to the Journal of Electronics Science and Electrical Research (ISSN: 3067-929X) must adhere to the detailed guidelines provided below. These instructions ensure a smooth editorial and peer review process and help maintain the journal’s commitment to clarity, quality, and scientific relevance. Submissions that do not follow these requirements may be returned for revision prior to review.
1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted
The journal welcomes a broad spectrum of scholarly contributions. Accepted manuscript types include the following:
- Original Research Articles: Complete studies presenting novel research, experimental procedures, and significant findings in electrical and electronics engineering.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive and well-referenced reviews summarizing existing knowledge, identifying trends, and outlining future research directions.
- Short Communications: Brief reports of innovative ideas, experimental validations, or prototype designs that are time-sensitive or hold technical significance.
- Technical Notes: Articles detailing new methodologies, improved instrumentation, or advanced circuit design techniques.
- Case Studies: Specific engineering projects, system implementations, or diagnostic challenges that demonstrate practical problem-solving approaches.
- Editorials and Commentaries: Invited or peer-reviewed insights on emerging topics, controversial discussions, or perspectives from industry or academia.
2. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Language and Style
Manuscripts must be written in grammatically correct and precise English. Authors are encouraged to ensure clarity and avoid vague or ambiguous statements. If English is not the author’s first language, professional language editing prior to submission is highly recommended.
Format Requirements
- File Format: Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Font and Spacing: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced with standard 1-inch margins.
- Page Numbers: Include continuous page numbering throughout the document.
- Units: Use the International System of Units (SI) consistently across the manuscript.
Title
The title should be succinct, specific, and informative, not exceeding 15 words. It must accurately reflect the scope and findings of the work.
Abstract
Provide a structured abstract of 150 to 250 words. It should summarize the background, methodology, principal findings, and conclusion of the study. The abstract should not contain references or undefined abbreviations.
Keywords
Authors must list 4 to 6 keywords immediately following the abstract. Keywords should be specific, relevant to the field, and facilitate search engine visibility. Examples include: power electronics, embedded systems, signal processing, renewable energy systems, or microcontroller applications.
Sections and Subheadings
Organize the manuscript into clearly defined sections. Standard research articles typically include:
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods or Methodology
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Subheadings within each section are encouraged to improve readability and logical flow.
Equations and Symbols
Use standard mathematical notation. All equations should be numbered sequentially and placed clearly within the text. Symbols should be defined upon first use and used consistently throughout the manuscript.
Figures and Tables
- All figures and tables must be cited within the main text and should appear in numerical order.
- Each figure should have a detailed caption below the image.
- Tables should have a clear title positioned above the table.
- Images, charts, and graphs must be submitted in high-resolution formats (preferably .jpg or .png).
- Figures and tables must be uploaded as separate files during submission.
References
All references must follow APA style formatting. In-text citations should appear as (Author, Year). The reference list must be alphabetically ordered by author’s surname.

3. Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s official online submission portal. Authors will need to create an account, fill in the manuscript metadata, upload the document, and attach all relevant figures, supplementary materials, and a cover letter.
Cover Letter
The cover letter must accompany every submission. It should include the title of the manuscript, a brief description of its significance, a statement of originality, and a declaration that the work is not under consideration elsewhere.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. These may include financial relationships, academic collaborations, or personal associations that could influence the research findings or interpretation.
4. Peer Review Policy
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review. The editorial team will assign independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant research area. The peer review process evaluates originality, technical soundness, methodological integrity, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field.
The editorial decision—acceptance, revision, or rejection—will be communicated to the corresponding author along with reviewer feedback. Manuscripts requiring revision must be resubmitted within the timeline provided.
5. Article Processing Charges
Authors will be required to pay an Article Processing Charge after the manuscript is accepted for publication. This fee supports the journal’s editorial activities, peer review, and open-access distribution. Exact fee details will be communicated at the time of acceptance.
6. Ethical Compliance
The journal expects authors to comply with high ethical standards. Any study involving human participants or animal subjects must have received approval from an appropriate ethics committee. The manuscript must include a clear statement of ethical compliance, including informed consent when applicable.
Authors must ensure that all data sources, methodologies, and borrowed content are accurately cited. Plagiarism, data fabrication, and unethical research practices are not tolerated and will result in immediate rejection or retraction.
7. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain the copyright of their submitted work. Upon acceptance, the article will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which allows unrestricted distribution, use, reproduction, and adaptation of the work, provided that proper credit is given to the original authors.
8. Revision and Response Process
If revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response letter. This letter should outline how each reviewer comment has been addressed. Authors should highlight changes in the manuscript for ease of review.
