Author Guidelines

The Planetary Journal of Social Sciences & Humanities Research (ISSN: 3067-2392) invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit original contributions that explore the social, cultural, and political aspects of global societies. To maintain high academic standards and ensure an efficient review process, we request that authors follow the guidelines outlined below.

General Submission Requirements

  1. Original Work: Manuscripts must present original, unpublished research or critical analysis not under consideration by other journals. Submissions should contribute significantly to the understanding of contemporary social and cultural issues.
  2. Language: All manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English. Non-native English speakers may consider professional language editing services.
  3. Manuscript Length:

- Research Articles: 4000–6000 words, excluding references, tables, and figures.

- Review Articles: 6000–8000 words, excluding references, tables, and figures.

- Case Studies: 1500–2500 words.

- Commentaries: 1500–2000 words.

  1. Abstract: All submissions must include an abstract of no more than 250 words. The abstract should summarize the key points of the manuscript, including the research question, methodology, results, and conclusions.

Formatting Guidelines

  1. File Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. We also accept LaTeX files for specific content.
  2. Title Page: The title page should contain the manuscript’s title, the full names and affiliations of all authors, and contact details for the corresponding author.
  3. Headings and Subheadings: The manuscript should be organized with clearly labeled sections, including an introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion. Use consistent heading styles for organization and clarity.
  4. References: All citations and references must follow the APA style. The reference list should be in alphabetical order, and all cited works should be included in the reference section.
  • Tables and Figures:

- Tables and figures should be included within the manuscript after the references.

- Each table and figure must be numbered and accompanied by a descriptive caption.

- High-resolution images should be submitted in .jpg or .png format.

Ethical Considerations

  1. Human and Animal Studies: Authors must ensure that any research involving human participants or animals complies with ethical standards. For human research, a statement regarding informed consent should be included. Animal studies should confirm adherence to ethical guidelines.
  2. Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the research.
  3. Plagiarism and Authorship: Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. The corresponding author must ensure that all authors have made a significant contribution to the research and have approved the final manuscript.

Review and Publication Process

  1. Peer Review: All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure objective evaluation. Authors will receive detailed feedback and are expected to address reviewer comments during the revision process.
  2. Revisions: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback. A response letter addressing the reviewers' comments should accompany the revised manuscript.
  3. Acceptance: After successful peer review and revisions, the manuscript will be accepted for publication. Authors will be notified about the publication timeline.
  4. Open Access and Article Processing Charges: The Planetary Journal of Social Sciences & Humanities Research is an open-access journal, which means that all published content is freely accessible to readers worldwide. Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge upon acceptance.
