Journal of Global Perspectives on Society, Culture, and Development

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Global Perspectives on Society, Culture, and Development (JGPSCD) (3067-8358) invites submissions that contribute to the understanding of global social, cultural, and developmental issues. We seek original research, critical analyses, and comprehensive reviews that advance knowledge across disciplines. This section outlines the submission process, manuscript requirements, and editorial policies for prospective authors.

Submission Process

Online Submission

Manuscripts can be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors can access our submission portal to upload their manuscripts and track the progress of their submission. For detailed instructions, please visit the journal’s submission page on our website.

Email Submission

Manuscripts can also be submitted as email attachments. Authors are requested to add cover letters along with the mansucripts.

Manuscript Review

Upon submission, each manuscript will undergo an initial review by the editorial team to assess its suitability for the journal. If the manuscript meets the journal's scope and quality standards, it will be sent for peer review. The peer review process is double-blind, meaning both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. This ensures that manuscripts are evaluated based on academic rigor and merit.

Revisions

Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts following peer review. We require that authors respond to reviewer comments and provide a point-by-point explanation of any changes made to the manuscript. Manuscripts must be resubmitted via the online portal within the timeline specified by the editor.

Manuscript Formatting

General Guidelines

Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and scholarly language. Please adhere to the following formatting guidelines:

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point font size

  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Page Numbers: Include page numbers in the header, starting from the first page of the manuscript.
  • Word Count: Articles should generally be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references.
  • References: All references should be formatted according to the APA style. Detailed guidance on APA referencing is available in the style manual.

  2. Abstract: Provide a concise abstract (150–250 words) that summarizes the key points of the article, including the research problem, methodology, results, and conclusions.
  3. Keywords: Include 4–6 keywords that reflect the main topics of the article. These should be terms that are relevant to the journal's focus.

  • Figures: Figures (graphs, charts, images) should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2). Each figure should be accompanied by a caption that explains the figure's content. Ensure that figures are of high quality and resolution (at least 300 dpi).

Ethical Considerations

Originality

All submissions to JGPSCD must be original and unpublished work. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscript has not been submitted or published elsewhere. Any previously published material should be clearly cited.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript. Authors are expected to properly cite all sources of information and ideas that are not their own. The journal uses plagiarism detection software to verify the originality of submitted manuscripts.

Human and Animal Research

If the manuscript involves research on human participants or animals, authors must ensure that the research complies with ethical guidelines and has been approved by an institutional review board or ethics committee. Authors must include a statement confirming ethical approval in the manuscript.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the research or its interpretation. This includes funding sources, affiliations, or any other relationships that could be perceived as a conflict of interest.

Copyright

By submitting a manuscript to JGPSCD, authors agree to transfer copyright of their article to the journal upon acceptance for publication. Authors may request permission to reuse material from their article, and appropriate citation must be provided.

Article Processing Charges

Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, authors will be required to pay an Article Processing Charge. This charge supports the editorial, production, and publication processes. The APC will be communicated to the corresponding author once the manuscript is accepted, and payment must be completed before publication.

Peer Review Process

JGPSCD follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. The editorial team selects reviewers who are experts in the subject matter of the submission. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on criteria such as relevance, originality, methodology, and clarity of writing. Authors will receive constructive feedback and may be asked to revise the manuscript accordingly.

Revision and Resubmission

If revisions are required, authors should submit a revised manuscript within the timeframe specified by the editor. A detailed point-by-point response to reviewer comments must accompany the resubmitted manuscript. The revised manuscript should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.

Final Manuscript Submission

Once a manuscript is accepted and all revisions have been made, authors will be asked to submit the final version of their manuscript, ensuring that all required formatting and reference guidelines have been followed. Authors will also be asked to sign a copyright transfer agreement and provide a final confirmation of their manuscript's accuracy and originality.
