Author Guidelines

The Journal of Comparative Medicine Research Reviews and Reports (ISSN: 3067-2376) provides a platform for authors to submit high-quality research, reviews, and clinical reports in the field of comparative medicine. To ensure that submissions align with the journal’s standards and are processed efficiently, we ask authors to follow the guidelines outlined below.

General Submission Requirements

  1. Original Work: All manuscripts must be original, unpublished work and should not be under consideration elsewhere. Research articles, reviews, case reports, and commentaries that contribute new knowledge to the field of comparative medicine will be given priority.
  2. Language: Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English. Non-native speakers are encouraged to seek language assistance if necessary.
  3. Manuscript Length:

- Research Articles: 4000–6000 words, excluding references, tables, and figures.

- Review Articles: 6000–8000 words, excluding references, tables, and figures.

- Case Reports: 1500–2500 words, excluding references, tables, and figures.

- Commentaries: 1500–2000 words.

  1. Abstract: All submissions must include an abstract of no more than 250 words. The abstract should briefly describe the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.

Formatting Guidelines

  1. File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. LaTeX files are also accepted for specific content.
  2. Title Page: The title page should contain the manuscript’s title, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author details (name, email, and phone number).
  3. Headings and Subheadings: Manuscripts should be organized with clear, consistent headings and subheadings. Each section should be numbered (e.g., 1. Introduction, 2. Materials and Methods, etc.) to enhance readability.
  4. References: All references must be formatted according to APA style. References should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the manuscript. Use a consistent format for author names, journal titles, volume numbers, and page ranges.
  5. Tables and Figures:

- All tables and figures should be included in the manuscript after the references.

- Each table and figure must be accompanied by a descriptive title.

- High-resolution images should be submitted in .jpg or .png format.

Ethical Considerations

  1. Human and Animal Studies: Authors must declare that the research involving human participants or animals complies with ethical standards. For human studies, authors should include a statement on informed consent. For animal studies, authors must state that they followed institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of animals.
  2. Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial interests or affiliations that could influence the objectivity of the research.
  3. Plagiarism and Authorship: Manuscripts must not contain any plagiarized content. Authors should be listed based on their contribution to the work. The corresponding author must ensure that all authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript.

Review and Publication Process

  1. Peer Review: All manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process, where both the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept confidential. This ensures that each submission is evaluated fairly and objectively.
  2. Revisions: Authors may be requested to make revisions to their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback. It is essential that authors address all comments and provide a detailed response to reviewers during the revision process.
  3. Acceptance: Once the manuscript has passed peer review and revisions have been made, the manuscript will be accepted for publication. Authors will be notified of the acceptance status and the anticipated publication date.
  4. Open Access and Article Processing Charges: The Journal of Comparative Medicine Research Reviews and Reports is an open-access journal, meaning that all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide. Authors will be required to pay an Article Processing Charge upon acceptance of their manuscript.

Submission Process

  1. Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission portal. The portal will guide authors through the submission process and allow them to track the status of their submission.
  2. Cover Letter: A cover letter must accompany the submission, providing a brief overview of the research and explaining why the manuscript is a suitable fit for the Journal of Comparative Medicine Research Reviews and Reports.

Copyright and Licensing

  1. Copyright Transfer: Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors will be required to transfer copyright to the Journal of Comparative Medicine Research Reviews and Reports.
