Author Guidelines
The American Journal of Clinical Pathology Research invites authors to submit original research articles, review articles, short communications, and technical notes that contribute to the field of clinical pathology and laboratory medicine. To ensure smooth processing and timely publication, authors are requested to adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Manuscript Types
We accept the following manuscript types:
- Original Research Articles: Detailed reports of original research studies, including new findings in clinical pathology, diagnostics, or laboratory medicine.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of current trends, research developments, and methodologies in clinical pathology.
- Short Communications: Concise reports that highlight novel research findings or significant advances in clinical pathology that are of immediate interest to the field.
- Technical Notes: Articles discussing new techniques, technologies, or methodologies in the practice of clinical pathology.
2. Manuscript Preparation
- Language: Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English. Authors whose first language is not English may consider having their manuscript professionally edited before submission.
- Formatting: Submit the manuscript in Word format (doc or docx), double-spaced, with 1-inch margins and 12-point Times New Roman font. Please include page numbers.
- Title: The title should be specific, concise, and reflective of the manuscript’s content, not exceeding 15 words.
- Abstract: Provide a concise abstract (150-250 words) summarizing the key research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Keywords: Include 4-6 keywords that best describe the content of the manuscript.
3. Main Sections of the Manuscript
- Introduction: Introduce the research question, background, and objectives of the study.
- Materials and Methods: Detailed description of the methods, techniques, and tools used in the research.
- Results: Present the results clearly, using tables, graphs, and figures where necessary.
- Discussion: Interpret the results, discuss their implications, and compare them with existing research.
- Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and their significance in clinical practice.
4. References
- Use the APA citation style for all references. In-text citations should be in the format (Author, Year). For the reference list:
- Books: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the book. Publisher.
- Articles: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Page numbers. https://doi.org/xx.xxx
5. Figures and Tables
- Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively and cited within the text. High-quality images and graphs should be submitted separately as image files (e.g., .jpg, .png, .tiff).
6. Submission Process
- Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal's online submission system. A cover letter should accompany the manuscript, indicating that the manuscript is original and has not been submitted elsewhere.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest.
7. Peer Review Process
- All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure high scientific standards and quality.
8. Article Processing Charges
- Upon acceptance, authors will be required to pay an Article Processing Charge. Further details will be provided during the submission process.
9. Ethical Considerations
- Studies involving human or animal subjects must have the appropriate ethical approval. Ethical statements should be included in the manuscript.
10. Copyright and Licensing
- Authors retain copyright but grant the journal a license to publish the manuscript under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license.
