Abstract:
Tic disorder is a neuropsychiatric disorder that onset in childhood and adolescence, mainly characterized by in voluntary, repetitive, rapid, and purposeless motor tics or vocal tics in one or more parts of the body. According to its clinical manifestations and disease course characteristics, it can be divided into transient tic disorder, chronic motor or vocal tic disorder, and combined vocal and multiple motor tic disorder. At present, its pathogenesis is con sidered to involve multiple aspects, such as genetic factors, neurobiochemical factors, and psychological factors. In terms of treatment methods, pharmacotherapy mainly includes antipsychotics, central α2 adrenergic receptor agonists, and other drugs, while non-pharmacological treatment covers psychological treatment, physical thera py, etc. However, the therapeutic effect is affected by various factors, including the patient's own factors, family environmental factors, and social support factors. Although existing treatment methods can alleviate symptoms to a certain extent, there are still limitations. In the future, the research and development of emerging treatment tech nologies, multidisciplinary combined treatment, and the optimization of personalized treatment plans are expected to bring new breakthroughs in the treatment of tic disorders.
