Abstract:
The fusion of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) through quantum computing is an emerging field set to transform the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. BIM provides a detailed digital representation of buildings, enhancing collaboration and reducing errors, while AI enables ad vanced data analysis and decision-making. Together, they optimize design processes, project management, and real-time monitoring, boosting efficiency. Quantum computing amplifies this synergy by enabling faster simulations and complex modeling, improving design visualization and performance assessments. However, challenges such as data privacy, cybersecurity, job displacement due to automation, and ethical concerns regarding AI biases must be addressed. Looking ahead, this integration is expected to drive innovation in energy performance analysis, construction safety, and structural health monitoring, promoting more sustainable and efficient practices. Collabo ration among tech firms, academia, and industry will be crucial to realizing this transformative potential.
