Acute Severe Mitral Regurgitation in a Young Female at Fifth Day of Covid-19 Infection: A Case Report and Review of Literature

Abstract:
After the respiratory system, COVID-19 most commonly affects the cardiovascular system. Cardiovascular involvement during coronavirus infection negatively affects the prognosis. Mitral valve repair was performed in our hospital with a minimally invasive method in a 39-year-old female patient who developed severe mitral regurgitation on the 5th day of COVID-19. Our case is the second case with severe mitral regurgitation and normal left ventricular function due to COVID-19 cardiac involvement.
