Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and Public Health

About Journal

The Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and Public Health (ISSN: 3066-9812) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that serves as a global platform for the dissemination of high-quality research at the intersection of clinical epidemiology and public health. Our journal aims to foster the advancement of evidence-based research and its application to clinical practice, healthcare policy, and community health improvement. By providing a space for multidisciplinary collaboration, we aim to promote the exchange of ideas that have the potential to improve patient care, public health strategies, and healthcare systems worldwide.

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to contribute to the improvement of global public health by publishing innovative research in clinical epidemiology and public health. We are dedicated to presenting studies that address critical health issues, from disease prevention and health promotion to the effectiveness of interventions and policy implementation. Our vision is to facilitate a deeper understanding of health determinants, disparities, and outcomes, while highlighting best practices and successful models that can be applied across different healthcare settings.

As healthcare systems across the world face increasing challenges—such as the rising burden of chronic diseases, aging populations, and emerging infectious diseases—the need for high-quality research that can inform clinical decision-making and public health policy has never been greater. Our journal seeks to meet this demand by providing a forum for research that is not only academically rigorous but also highly relevant to the practice of medicine, public health, and healthcare management.

Scope of the Journal

The Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and Public Health publishes original research articles, comprehensive reviews, clinical case studies, and methodological papers in a broad range of topics relevant to clinical epidemiology and public health. We welcome submissions that examine health issues at the individual, community, and population levels, using both quantitative and qualitative research methods.

We encourage submissions in the following key areas:

  • Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance: Research on the distribution and determinants of diseases within populations. We focus on studies that investigate risk factors, disease prevalence, incidence, and trends, with an emphasis on surveillance systems and methods to track disease outbreaks and prevent further spread.
  • Public Health Interventions: Studies that assess the effectiveness of public health interventions, such as vaccination programs, health education campaigns, screening initiatives, and health promotion efforts. We prioritize research that evaluates the impact of these interventions on health outcomes and cost-effectiveness.
  • Chronic Disease Prevention and Management: Articles exploring strategies to prevent and manage chronic diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, respiratory diseases, and obesity. These studies may address lifestyle modifications, pharmacological treatments, and innovations in patient care and management practices.
  • Global Health: Research that examines health disparities and global health challenges, with a focus on improving health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries. We are particularly interested in studies that explore the role of social determinants of health, access to healthcare, and the burden of infectious diseases in resource-limited settings.
  • Health Systems and Policy: Research that evaluates healthcare systems, their efficiency, accessibility, and equity. Studies that investigate health policies and their impact on public health, healthcare delivery, and outcomes are also welcome. We aim to highlight evidence-based policies that can improve healthcare access and quality, especially in underserved populations.
  • Social and Behavioral Epidemiology: Investigations into the social, behavioral, and environmental factors that influence health outcomes. We encourage research that examines how social determinants such as income, education, employment, housing, and social support networks impact health, and how behavioral interventions can be implemented to improve public health.
  • Environmental and Occupational Health: Research exploring the impact of environmental and occupational factors on health, such as air pollution, water quality, hazardous substances, and work-related injuries. We also welcome studies that investigate the health consequences of climate change and other environmental stressors.
  • Health Inequities and Disparities: Studies that focus on the health disparities faced by vulnerable populations, including racial and ethnic minorities, the elderly, people with disabilities, and individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We are particularly interested in research that proposes solutions for reducing health inequities and improving access to healthcare for marginalized groups.

Why Publish with Us?

The Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and Public Health provides a unique opportunity for researchers to publish their findings in a journal that bridges the gap between clinical research and public health practice. We aim to publish studies that can directly influence healthcare delivery, improve population health, and inform policy decisions.

Our editorial board is composed of experts in clinical epidemiology, public health, healthcare policy, and epidemiological research. Each submission undergoes a rigorous peer-review process, ensuring that only high-quality research is published. Authors benefit from the global reach of our open-access platform, which ensures that their work is accessible to a wide audience, including healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, and educators.

In addition to original research articles, the journal also publishes commentaries, perspectives, and review articles that provide context and analysis on current issues in clinical epidemiology and public health. These articles are designed to engage readers, stimulate discussion, and encourage the application of evidence-based practices in real-world healthcare settings.

Key Features

  • Open Access: All articles published in the journal are freely available to anyone, anywhere, ensuring that knowledge can be shared without barriers. We believe that open access is key to the rapid dissemination of research findings and to fostering a more equitable global exchange of information.
  • Rigorous Peer Review: We maintain a strict double-blind peer-review process, where both authors and reviewers are anonymized to ensure impartiality. Our reviewers are experts in their fields and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of each manuscript.
  • Interdisciplinary Focus: We encourage interdisciplinary research that integrates perspectives from clinical medicine, epidemiology, public health, social sciences, and healthcare management. By publishing work that spans multiple disciplines, we aim to foster cross-sector collaboration and innovation in healthcare.
  • Global Reach: As a global journal, we publish research from authors around the world. Our international audience includes clinicians, epidemiologists, public health experts, policymakers, and researchers, creating a vibrant community of professionals committed to improving global health outcomes.

We invite researchers, clinicians, public health experts, and healthcare professionals to submit their manuscripts to the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and Public Health. By publishing with us, you are contributing to the ongoing advancement of knowledge in clinical epidemiology and public health, helping to shape the future of healthcare.
