Author Guidelines

The Journal of Agricultural, Earth and Environmental Sciences (ISSN: 3064-9846) invites authors to submit original, high-quality manuscripts that align with the journal’s interdisciplinary scope. These guidelines are intended to assist prospective authors in preparing their manuscripts for submission and ensuring a smooth editorial process. All authors are advised to read and follow these instructions carefully before submitting their work.

1. Manuscript Categories

We accept a range of manuscript types, including:

  • Original Research Articles: Reports of new empirical research, field studies, or theoretical advancements.
  • Review Articles: Critical summaries of existing literature that identify trends, knowledge gaps, and research opportunities.
  • Case Studies: In-depth reports on specific regional practices, technological interventions, or community-based environmental and agricultural solutions.
  • Short Communications: Brief manuscripts presenting novel insights, urgent findings, or preliminary data.
  • Technical Notes: Descriptions of new methods, tools, or techniques relevant to agricultural, earth, or environmental sciences.

Each manuscript should demonstrate scholarly rigor, relevance to the journal’s disciplines, and a clear contribution to knowledge or practice.

2. Language and Style

All manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English. Authors are encouraged to use concise, professional, and academic language, free from jargon. British or American spelling is acceptable, but it must be consistent throughout the manuscript.

Avoid casual expressions and ensure that all scientific terms are defined clearly for a broad, interdisciplinary audience. Use of proper punctuation is essential. Please do not use symbols or stylistic devices that disrupt readability.

3. Formatting Requirements

  • Title: The title should be specific, informative, and reflective of the manuscript’s content.
  • Author Names and Affiliations: Provide full names, institutional affiliations, and contact details for all authors.
  • Abstract: A structured abstract (150–250 words) summarizing the purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion of the study.
  • Keywords: Include 4 to 8 keywords that accurately represent the manuscript’s focus. Keywords such as "sustainable agriculture," "climate change," "soil science," "geospatial analysis," and "environmental conservation" are encouraged when applicable.
  • Main Text: Structure the manuscript into clearly labeled sections such as Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • Figures and Tables: Place figures and tables near the relevant text, with descriptive titles and proper citation in the text.
  • References: All sources must be cited using a consistent referencing style, preferably APA or Harvard. Include complete details such as author names, publication year, article or book title, journal name, volume, issue, and page numbers.

4. Ethical Considerations

All research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with ethical standards and must have been approved by the appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board. Authors must declare that their research complies with relevant ethical practices and must obtain informed consent where required.

Plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical behavior of any kind will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript. Authors must ensure that their submissions are entirely original and have not been published elsewhere or submitted to another journal simultaneously.

5. Authorship and Contributions

All listed authors should have made substantial contributions to the research. Authors are encouraged to describe the role of each contributor in the manuscript. Any changes to authorship after submission must be approved by all authors and the editorial board.

Corresponding authors are responsible for communication with the journal during the review and publication process and must ensure all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

6. Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest, whether financial, professional, or personal. If there are no conflicts to disclose, authors should clearly state this in the manuscript.

7. Article Processing Charges

The Journal of Agricultural, Earth and Environmental Sciences operates on an open-access model to ensure that all published content is freely accessible to readers worldwide. To support the publication process and maintain high editorial standards, an article processing charge (APC) applies to accepted manuscripts.

Details regarding the APC will be shared with authors upon acceptance of the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to contact the editorial office if they require additional information or support regarding publication fees.

8. Peer Review Policy

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review. Reviewers are selected based on their subject matter expertise and are expected to evaluate the manuscript for:

  • Scientific validity and originality
  • Methodological soundness
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Contribution to current knowledge

Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript based on reviewer feedback. Revised manuscripts should be submitted with a point-by-point response to reviewers' comments.

9. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal’s online submission system. Authors must register with the platform, complete all required fields, and upload their manuscript and supplementary materials.

Prior to submission, please ensure that:

  • All sections of the manuscript are complete.
  • The document follows the formatting and language guidelines.
  • All figures and tables are included and properly labeled.
  • References are accurate and consistently formatted.

10. Post-Acceptance and Publication

Once accepted, manuscripts will undergo copyediting, typesetting, and proofing before publication. Authors will receive proofs for approval and are responsible for checking the accuracy of all content, including affiliations and citations.

The final version will be published online as part of the journal’s continuous publication model and will be assigned a DOI for permanent identification and citation.

11. Open Access Policy

As an open-access journal, all articles published in the Journal of Agricultural, Earth and Environmental Sciences are freely accessible without subscription or registration. This model supports the dissemination of knowledge to a wider audience, increases visibility of research, and promotes academic collaboration across borders.
