Hiper Homo: Next Subspecies

Abstract:
This essay proposes a reflection on the radical transformations Humanity is undergoing in the era of hypermoder nity, marked by the convergence of artificial intelligence, robotics, neurotechnology, and digital connectivity. It proposes a critical review of the concept of the human mind, now expanded, distributed, and interconnected with external systems such as the cloud, giving rise to a new form of hybrid cognition. The emergence of technologies such as brain implants, brain-machine interfaces, and gene editing reconfigures both human identity and emotions, making them modular, programmable, and shareable. The cultural, ethical, and political risks of these advances are also discussed from a philosophical perspective explored by several authors. The notion of Hyperdream emerges as a horizon of dream exploration and cognitive regeneration, linking sleep, AI, and biotechnology. In this context, the transition from Homo sapiens sapiens to a new technologically augmented Humanity is projected, where bodies also adapt to integrate devices, exoskeletons, and new artificial senses. Faced with this scenario, the text raises the urgent need for a critical ethic to guide these developments, recovering what is profoundly human: the capacity to give meaning to existence, in a constantly changing world.
